When you use ErrandPadi, we collect information to provide, improve, and secure our service. This includes:
- Account information: name, email, phone number, campus, and (where applicable) matriculation number, current level, year of admission, staff ID, or department
- Verification data: your uploaded student ID, admission letter, staff ID, or graduation certificate, plus — if you use instant verification — a live selfie and ID scan processed by our verification partner, Didit, for liveness and face-match checks
- Sign-in data: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google
- Task-related data: task descriptions, prices, photos, chat messages and file attachments between poster and doer, and delivery details
- Location data: your campus location for matching, and, during an active task, live location pings shared between poster and doer for real-time tracking
- Bank and payout details: bank account name/number for doers and referral withdrawals, processed via Paystack
- Device and usage data: IP address, device type, device ID, push notification token, and app interaction logs
- Voice call data: if you use in-app calling on a task, our call provider (Agora) facilitates the connection; we do not record or store call audio
- Support data: messages you send to in-app support, which may be processed by an AI assistant to help draft responses
We use the collected information to:
- Match students offering and requesting services on campus, including auto-detecting your campus from your device's location
- Verify your identity as a genuine student or staff member, using automated checks (via Didit) and manual admin review
- Process payments, hold funds in escrow, and pay out doers and referral earnings via Paystack
- Enable real-time task features: live location tracking between poster and doer during an active task, in-app chat and file sharing, and in-app voice calls
- Send push, email, and in-app notifications about your tasks, payments, and account
- Communicate important updates and respond to support requests
- Prevent fraud, investigate disputes, and ensure platform safety
- Improve our services through analytics
All payments, escrow, and payouts are processed securely by Paystack. ErrandPadi does not store your card details. Doers and referral-withdrawal recipients provide bank account details, which we use solely to create a payout recipient with Paystack and to send your earnings. We only keep transaction records necessary for accounting and dispute resolution.
We share data only with the service providers that help us run ErrandPadi, and only as needed for the purpose stated:
- Paystack — to process payments, hold escrow, and send payouts
- Didit — to perform automated ID document, liveness, and face-match checks during verification
- Google — to offer Google Sign-In, and Google's Gemini API to help draft support responses
- Agora — to connect in-app voice calls between poster and doer
- Cloudinary — to store task photos, proof-of-completion images, verification documents, and chat attachments
- Firebase — to deliver push notifications
- With universities for account verification, where applicable
- With law enforcement when legally required
We never sell your personal data to advertisers.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security audits to protect your information. Account passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing and are never visible to our staff.
Live location data shared during an active task is only retained for a limited window: once a task reaches a final status (paid, refunded, or cancelled), its location history is automatically deleted after 90 days. Location data linked to a disputed task is kept longer where needed as evidence to resolve the dispute.
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing privacy@gope360.com. We will respond within 30 days.
